All of the staff treated me with such care and dignity if felt like I was being cared for by family. Mel the specialist put her expertise to good use and managed the impossible and stopped my pain.
All of the nurses on the 23 hours ward are a shinning example of the NHS at its best.

Good communication about procedure and aftercare procedure quick and not { } uncomfortable/painful.
Suggested improvements
Perhaps after-procedure some ideas as to what needed to be discharged eg. vomiting pin bottom of toilet.

There was sometimes lack of communication re: what was happening which meant I felt increasingly forgotten about but the staff were generally so lovely and helpful and caring.
Suggested improvements
Communicating with patients as to what is happening would help reduce stress and worry. Appreciate this isn’t always easy though. When surgery lists change on daily basis.

Could not fault the quality of care - attention and respect from all members of the team.
Suggested improvements
On the occassion, I was told that the { } night shift were perhaps not as competent with TPN drip - not a problem though as drip was changed before handover.
